Winemaker Paolo Caciorgna Vineyards | Winemaking Sand and chalk soils in the Monforte d'Alba region of Barolo. Temperature controlled fermentation. Aged for 30 months in French oak barrels (100% new) and bottle aged for 12 months before release. Grapes 100% Nebbiolo. Picked: October 10, 2001. Tasting Notes Aroma: Rich, complex and earthy with a broad bouquet. Taste: Deep plum and dark fruit flavors with hints of chestnut, mushroom and white truffles.

Careful selection and temperature-controlled fermentation with native yeasts. Bottled unfined and unfiltered after aging in French oak for 6 months. Grapes 100% Nero d'Avola. Tasting Notes Aroma: Blackberry, cranberry and caramel cream. Taste: Black cherry and blackberry. Pomegranate and vanilla spice finish, with fine, silky tannins.
