Setena is the Catalan word for one-seventh—the amount of the harvest that farmers in ancient Spain paid landowners for the right to work the land.

Old vines on well-draining clay and chalk soils high on the terraced hills southwest of Barcelona. Cold fermentation and extended maceration. Aged for 8 months in French oak barrels (70% new).
Grapes
40% Garnacha, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Syrah, 10% Tempranillo, 10% Merlot. Picked: September 18–October 5, 2003.
Tasting Notes
Aroma: Black cherry, raspberry and cranberry with toasty notes. Taste: Raspberry, Morello cherry and plum with sweet tannins and refreshing acidity.
